The Cat and the Comma Editing was founded by Alisha Jones-Platt. I am a copy-editor and proofreader trained through the Publishing Training Centre. My interests range from quantum physics to classical studies, and I enjoy a wide range of fiction. What underlies both my work and leisure time is the enjoyment of learning something new. My career choice is inspired by my two favourite things: grammar and cats.

The meticulous and finnicky attitude of cats in organising their lives reflects the attitude needed to organise a text into its best possible manifestation. I am dedicated to pouncing on errors and getting rid of the fluff.

The answer to the riddle is, of course, that one has claws at the end of its paws and the other is a pause at the end of a clause!
